DISGUSTING THREATS OF VIOLENCE FROM TWO RIDERS!
POLICE REPORT FILED FOR:
BATTERY, CA PENAL CODE SECTION 242
AND
CRIMINAL THREATS, CA PENAL CODE SECTION 422-422.1
SUMMARY, AND NOTICE TO EMPLOYERS: Bully guy bangs into peaceful protester, then he and another rider threaten protester with violence for peacefully and respectfully exercising his First Amendment rights. I am therefore calling on Apple to educate and reprimand these two. They are a liability to you, as they are threatening people in the neighborhood with violence, and increasing division. Had they in fact attacked us, we would have pursued them and your corporation to the fullest extent of the law. All other riders who witnessed this were equally disgusted by this outrageous conduct. Let’s see how those in the neighborhood react to your invading their city, then threatening them in front of their homes…it’s not playing well thus far.
Please write us via a post, which we will keep absolutely confidential, if you know the names of these two!
So, at our protest today, while peacefully protesting on public property (the sidewalk), this man pictured intentionally bumped into me, stating, “No one gives a shit,” as he did so. When I told him that if he touched me again I’d call the police, he said, “Go ahead!” When I told him I would, and began taking my phone out he said, “If you take my picture, I’m going to break that phone over your fucking head!” to which the woman next to him concurred, “I will too!”
Gratefully, this is on video, and photos, and fellow peaceful protester Mr. P heard the entire conversation and will bear witness. Many riders heard it, too, and are gratefully supportive of us, because these people seemingly so lack presence of mind and knowledge of the law, that they blurted it out in front of all their co-riders–such lack of self-restraint and respect! Of course, when this guy knew he was being filmed, he backed off like a coward and a bully and scurried to his bus, but it was all documented and witnessed.
When the woman boarded the bus, she shoved my hand that was holding my phone away. This was also witnessed.
So, I’ve filed a police report again these two. I just finished speaking with two officers, who were very respectful, and viewed his picture on my phone. We’ll try to get more information, and will try to have them arrested or cited as is applicable. If you were a rider present during this outrageous conduct, or if you know these peoples’ names, kindly submit them via a post–we will NOT post it, and will keep your information confidential. Of course, you may write in confidentially, as well. There’s no sense all should be called-out, just because of the wanton actions of these two. All those who witnessed it seem to have found it disgusting, and we appreciate your support.
If their names are not discovered, we may arrange a SFPD Officer to be stationed at the stop until they arrive, but this seems a waste of resources for Officers of the law that have a lot on their plate. So, thank you for your support in identifying them without this need.
We wish to give a big shout-out to the SFPD, who have been extremely fair, responsive, respectful, and supportive regarding this incident, and our rights as citizens. A big thank you to these officers and the Department.

So, back to it: you have invaded public space for private corporate gain. There are many downsides for us as residents, and no upside. Now you see the downside for you: the sidewalk you clog every morning is PUBLIC property, and there are no restrictions that prohibit us from photographing and filming you. (Not to mention, I’m a credentialed Journalist.) You may do the same–as we told you, it’s not a problem for us–we’re doing nothing wrong. We’re exercising our right to free speech in a peaceful manner…and even THAT isn’t good enough for you?! You scream about attacks on buses (which we don’t advocate, nor do we have any knowledge of–we’re a peaceful group), but then it is YOU that threatens violence to those that are peaceful. SHAME!
You should build PRIVATE TERMINALS outside our neighborhoods. Then you would have a private area appropriate for such buses and crowds, where we could not pass–you could station your goons outside, and your riders wouldn’t have to view the truth–just as you wish. We all win! 😉
We understand you’re used to controlling speech and information, and everyone for that matter, but you cannot do it by force in public–you’re REALLY full of yourselves if you think you can!
Let’s summarize: corporations take over our city, come into our neighborhoods uninvited, make it unlivable for residents, then threaten locals with violence for peacefully protesting against what they’ve done. Wrong, oppressors! The police now know your face, as do our neighbors. Don’t make yourselves too comfortable…you’re in OUR hood.
These Apple employees are reflecting the paranoia that their company, Apple, if famous for.
Are they Apple? Can you ID the bus (see photo)? We’re tracking it down now… thanks!
I want to thank those riders that have written in voicing their disgust for the conduct of these two, and offering to help. Thank you as well for the information you provided. Many of you heard and witnessed this embarrassment, and apparently were equally revolted. You’d think these fools would know better than to commit assault, and battery, in full view of everyone, but it seems not. Apparently, fellow riders are equally ashamed of them and their outburst of threats, and want to distance themselves quickly. Thanks again for your support–please keep providing information, so that we may separate the chaff.
Hi, I’m an employee who frequents this bus stop and I’ve engaged in conversations with some protestors. I don’t feel hostile towards the protestors, however I don’t understand the message of your campaign.
First, I see that your demand is for the bus stops to be moved to more secure and private locations.
How can Apple/Google/Facebook (and more) employees help with this initiative. Simply standing at our bus stop and telling us how much we are a nuisance does not make way for communication and brainstorming for better solutions.
I’m more than willing to speak to someone about what has already been done, what they think employees can do, and perhaps start to work together. I’d be willing to try and host an employee meeting at my company to discuss this issue but at the moment the message seems very mixed and frankly, ineffective.
I’m a reasonable and compassionate person, please communicate openly and frankly with me and I will do the same. I know there is a problem, I understand that I a part of the problem, what I do not know is how to move forward from here.
Dear Tiffany,
We appreciate your writing in, and the generally open tone of your message. We’ve approached the matter with great patience actually, and have been wholly peaceful. We do appreciate those of you who have reached out to us and have engaged in meaningful conversation. The sad fact is that your companies display no such humanity, nor concern for the neighbors they are trouncing. Our resentment is justified, and I believe, easy to understand. It’s time for a change.
As we do indeed appreciate your opening a dialogue, we’ll respond point-by-point. You rightly crave clarity and forthrightness, and though I believe we’ve been lucid in our message, I trust this will leave no ambiguity:
1) Why would you feel hostile towards the protesters? For peacefully exercising their First Amendment right in front of their own homes? For standing up in the face of a corporate takeover of what was once one of the world’s great cities? For wanting their neighborhoods and front yards back? There is no logical reason you would, so this seems ironic. We do appreciate the sentiment though.
2) Kindly allow us to focus our message, and to be candid:
We want your buses out of San Francisco, and into a series of hubs outside the City. It’s intolerable—destroying our physical and mental health and peace, and communities.
We want controls implemented regarding how much you destroy the fabric of our city, including laws to prevent the forced evictions you cause.
3) We feel
You are an invasive species in our neighborhoods.
Your companies have shown no consideration for our citizens or fabric.
You are destroying our health, ability to sleep, mental peace, and ability to live peacefully in our own homes.
Many of you exhibit an intolerable sense of entitlement, and lack of dignity and understanding. The insensitivity and ignorant aggression exhibited out there is disgusting. Who do you think you are, and where do you think you are?
4) The premise and history
This system was implemented without environmental review (can you say “pay-offs”?!), without a vote, and without consent from anyone in fact. Your companies paid-off our City to allow this invasion. 80 buses in front of our windows every morning, and no review? That’s big money talking.
If you’re comfortable out there, invading peoples’ neighborhoods, you’re oblivious to the feelings of those around you and your community. You have caused rents and forced evictions to reach an all-time highs, so that no one but your own can live in OUR City! Nearly all artists have left. Families have had to flee.
Are you aware how much many people around you resent your presence? No one from here benefits from your being here unless they’re in your industry, or are horrifically greedy. Virtually no one who is not taking a bus wants them here. Your average employment is one year ten months—this is our HOME! This may come as a revelation, but we actually don’t give a s*** about your apps, or mindless technology-primarily-to-control-and-sell-more-product. We don’t feel the need to have it or you here…sorry to burst your bubble. There’s no virtue in it. Walk around chained to your devices all day and night, oblivious to those around you…what do you serve, and who? We’d rather have city with heart, and soul, and diversity, and character, than one built on mindless consumption and greed. Period.
About three months ago, we felt more positive toward the crowd. It was clear many supported us, and the exchanges we generally productive and courteous. Sadly, as time has drawn on, no change has occurred, concerns have risen over our health and ability to live peacefully, and we are met with the most aggressive, entitled and arrogant tripe, and now, threats of violence. This, for protesting the invasion of our neighborhoods, the gentrification and corporatization of what was once a diverse and deep city, and the general selling-out of our communities to corporate interest.
5) Offer yet extended!
Still, we’ll again offer the same peaceful offer we have always extended: we are challenging your employees, and the system, to have such a meeting, to include only a few rational reps from our side. We come in peace 😉 We’ll calmly express why this is neither tenable, sustainable, or appropriate, and will open ourselves to questions. We would be DELIGHTED to have such an open conversation. Especially since…
We have invited the companies out for a cup o’ coffee many times—my treat—bundt cake if you’re really nice! Unimpressively, rather than sending one level-headed, honest person to sit down with people in the neighborhood, they send three goons to bash into us and attempt to intimidate a peaceful protest, and shamefully waste the time of the respectful and hard-working SFPD, who have larger issues than watching us pace back and forth with signs. That you believe all speech may be oppressed is disconcerting. People are smashing your windows (which we will state again we have no knowledge of, and do not condone—I’m sure you can see we’re peaceful), and in the face of peaceful and lawful protest, and open invitations to have peaceful discussions, we are met with threats of violence and attempts at intimidation for exercising our First Amendment rights and voicing our beliefs in front of our homes. It’s disgusting.
Some of you say you’re the wrong ones to be talking to, but I disagree: you’re EXACTLY the ones to be talking to, as change needs to come from within. You’re subscribing to the system, aren’t you? And who else is there to talk to? Our City has sold itself to you, and your cowardly higher-ups will not show their faces, nor engage in any type of constructive meeting, because profits dictate they needn’t do so, and they can’t see the logic of interfacing with the community—hypocrites! Sadly, your leaders have seen no logic in this, which we find insultingly arrogant, and hopelessly out of touch, especially for companies that extol their environmental and community virtue… (oops–I just threw-up in my mouth a bit). We’d be HAPPY to speak with them directly—they’ve yet to show themselves.
So, we challenge you and your higher-ups yet again:
We’re anxious for such a meeting at any public location. We greatly appreciate your wishing to start a new trend of understanding from within. Let us know when and where—we’ll bring the bundt cake.
Thank you to riders for writing in about this and for helping to identify these employees, who do seem to be from Apple. It is clear the mass of you wish to distance yourselves from this type of conduct, which we appreciate. Surely, there is no need for it by anyone involved, which is why we have always advocated legal and peaceful means.
Apple’s Comment!
A call to Apple elicited the following approximate response; as always, an impressive level of concern:
“I have no comment on that, and I’m going to have to terminate this call.”
THAT SMUG LITTLE RED HAIRED BEARDED BITCH IS GOING TO HAVE A PROBLEM IF HE KEEPS IT UP! I GUARANTEE IT.
Write me-I’ll come with you. If he threatens you again or touches you again, he will seriously regret it. He’s a cowardly bitch who doenst know who he’s fucking with. Some nerve to come into our communities and act like such a cunt. I’m here man!
You were right to file a police report, but why havent they been arrested? They absolutely must be! You absolutely should pursue this, and a civil suit against them and apple, because I am a rider who heard this comment very clearly, as well as seeing this bastard bump into you without provocation!! I’ll be happy to testify and support you. This tyrant is giving us a bad name. Please email me and Ill give you my direct info, as well as his name- I know exactly who he is. That ignorant smug woman who’s so quick to jump on the idiotic tyrant bandwagon I don’t know personally, but I can find out easy enough. This almost-person prick guy is an apple employee btw, though I guess you know that already. You should contact us and have him FIRED! and her too. If apple condones this behaviour, I’ll be embarrassed to be associated with them. Why arent the police or our HR Dept. doing anything? Pursue this to the hilt! I’m there for you! These pathetic idiots are the LAST thing we need!
Man what a fucker! That bitch with the red hair and beard is going to get his eventually, don’t you worry. Anyone with that little understanding and that much aggression is going get decked. I’ll be happy to back you up—I eat little cunts like that for breakfast!
Question: why the fuck isnt he and that dumb bitch smiling next to him in jail!? Where is the SFPD?! That fucking asshole committed at least 2 or 3 crimes! If the roles were reversed, google would have you in san quentin by now! The police had better be enforcing the law, and not cow-towing (even further) to corporate interests. HEY SFPD: level playing field! If the protesters obey the law, and in the face of it these corporate invaders don’t, YOU HAVE TO APPLY THE LAW EQUALLY! THROW THIS FUCKING ASSHOLE AGGRESSOR AND HIS DUMBASS COMPANION IN JAIL NOW! THAT IS, BEFORE HE GETS PHYSICAL WITH ME, AND I DEFEND MYSELF BY BASHING HIS UGLY FUCKING FACE IN.
